Melting Hearts
archive , ask , flickr , twitter , random I'm Lydia Grace. I see beauty in things that people write off as dull. It is the only way to truly begin to see the world in which we live. I have a vivid imagination and I am a little bit scatter-brained. Sometimes I wish I was as strong as I seem to everyone else. I keep telling myself that I must become a lion-hearted girl. I play the ukulele, shoot film, and listen to vinyl. I paint and create my heart on paper with rough strokes. Secret whispers are forever wedged in my heart. I love stolen, slow kisses, but only if they are honest. I love feathers, foxes, lace, and wolves. I collect old cameras. I adore the smell of fire, and the smell of sweet pipe smoke.
And I love that I am free.

I have come to realize that often, we must be intentional about finding the beauty, the good, the light, in things. Without being intentional, the hurt, the darkness, it will harden our hearts. We must intentionally seek that which is precious. If we could have it without giving any effort, it wouldn’t really be precious at all, now would it?
